Per-location planning
Rank the atlas for your sky.
Choose a northern latitude, month, and sky darkness. The table ranks all 30 asterisms by centroid transit altitude, hours above 20° altitude, evening timing, and how many defining member stars remain naked-eye visible under the selected Bortle class.
Pure-client planning model: no weather, moon, twilight, obstruction, aerosol, or time-zone lookup. The sky-darkness layer uses approximate naked-eye limiting magnitudes by Bortle class; real eyesight and transparency vary.
Ranked observability
Visibility status is based on member-star V magnitudes versus the selected limiting magnitude: fully visible = every defining star clears the limit; partial = at least 70% clear it; washed out = the shape is probably not recognisable naked-eye.
